Living in Seattle now means access to awesome day hikes with waterfalls forty-five minutes out of the city. One of these trails is Twin Falls, the fairly easy trail is 3.6 miles roundtrip loop walking through the rainforest. Along the hike, there are many chances to stop and go down by the Snoqualmie River and view into some shallow pools. One section comes out to large rocks and boulders where you can find people playing or swimming.

There are two different viewpoints for Twin Falls. One will go down a bridge that brings you directly in front of the falls. The other follows a path uphill that provides a second viewing of the falls. The higher view was pretty hard to see and we much more enjoyed the view from the lower bridge.

The trail is located inside Olallie State Park, so you will need a Discovery pass or pay a fee when parking. On weekend, the parking lot will be full by 10 am but you can park along the side of the road leading into the lot. We ended up parking on the road due to a full parking lot.

The trail is jam-packed with people on weekends so be prepared for heaps of people and their dogs. Unfortunately, I noticed a lot of dogs that were over-aggressively or disobedient when other dogs were present. This was one of those trails too where we came across a lot of doggie poop bags sitting on the side of the trail.
